Outlander: Claire Sermonne Discusses her Character Louise de Rohan and Season 2

By Scotland Now

Claire Sermonne as Louise de Rohan

She's set to become more involved in the lives of Claire and Jamie Fraser - so it's time you got to know more about Madame Louise de Rohan.

The character was introduced while undergoing a leg and bikini wax during Episode 2 of Outlander's second season - "Not in Scotland Anymore" - and her flippant attitude instantly struck a chord with fans.

Actress Claire Sermonne has taken on the role as one of Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) French friends this season and has opened up about the role in an interview with Access Hollywood.

In this video, Claire discusses being a fan of the show and Diana Gabaldon's books ahead of joining the cast for Season 2, as well as the day she found out she was in the show.

Claire's performances have already been praised by her co-stars including Caitriona Balfe, who told Access Hollywood: "Claire Sermonne is so brilliant... You have to believe that there [are] these hidden depths and she plays both of those things really beautifully and she's funny, so funny."
