OUTLANDER fans were ecstatic after the show and stars were nominated for three awards, so we look at why Sam should win Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor.
Outlander fans were rejoicing after the show received three nominations for the People's Choice Awards 2016.
The Starz series was nominated for Favourite Cable TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show at the awards, which will take place in January.
Meanwhile the show's main stars, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe , were also nominated for the Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor and Actress categories respectively.
And we here at Scotland Now firmly believe Sam should scoop the top prize.
The Scottish hunk, who plays Jamie Fraser, has been one of the main reasons behind the show's success and his own group of dedicated fans, known as Heughligans.
Sam recently scooped RadioTimes.com's SciFi Champion 2015 , beating off competition from top Sci-Fi names including, Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi, Once Upon A Time's Lana Parrilla and Colin O'Donoghue and The 100's Eliza Taylor-Cotter to claim the title.
And the 35-year-old was also recently named Best Actor in a drama series inEntertainment Weekly's EWwy Awards.
Outlander dominated the awards, which are designed to recognise the TV shows, movies and actors who were snubbed in the nominations for the Emmys.
The show took home the Best Drama award with 82.97 per cent of the vote, whilst Sam's co-stars Caitriona Balfe and Tobias Menzies scooped Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor respectively.
That's quite a trophy cabinet and justification of why Sam should be crowned Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor at the People's Choice Awards.
